dr martens research

Image
as ive pick to do an advert on dr martens i looked at their posters and their advertisements on the shoes which i could see that the dominate colour that they liked to use was the colour yellow and they liked to use a lot of hashtags which some where #fuckshoes and #makeyourmark and #standforsomething they also used the next revolution and made in the uk on their posters they also made them look very sex pistols style and very punk. which these two poster give two very different styles and they pull you in with two very different ways which i thinks is great but i want to produce a very similar poster to the top ones with the yellows and the hashtags which most of these posters give minimal information which is great.

analysing of two different print based adverts

analysing the different print based adverts. print based adverts are just as important as a TV advert but the sell the project with not a lot of information they can be in magazines, posters on walls, to billboards to being on bus some take up the whole bus but some only take up a little space.  this is a billboard advert for the film the croods and it shows all the important characters with a small information like its created by the same people who created Madagascar and it was out on the 22nd of march and that it is in 3D as well not giving away to much information but still making people wanting to know more by getting them to go see the film.   out of all the advertisments here my favourite would have to be the trolls one because it covers the whole bus and not just a segment of the bus but i also like the vintage style of the vans poster which makes it look like its from the 90s. which i think is great because it gives the style of the shoe and it really aims ...

Target audience

Target audience for my print based. I am aiming my posters to the ones who dare to be different, aiming it at dr martens lovers the mods and rockers and the skin heads or those who just want to be different but with style.

evaluation

My finale idea came at quite well the way i wanted it in fact, the quick cuts and the different side of the posters and the outcome of the posters was better then what i imagined, as i tried to get them as close to an actual Dr martens poster advert. i feel that the posters where the easiest to do and the one that works the most is the full yellow one with feet dangling from the top, with the boots on. i would say that the video was good and the way it has turned out is great but i did go wrong by putting footage on that was set to a frame size of 4:3 and not 16:9 (which is the frame size we should be using). Even though the video still works very well i feel that i could improve on the video by putting footage that i have shot that has the frame size of 16:9 so then the video is at a higher standard then having to resize the footage to fit  the frame and so it doesn't look fuzzy or disorientated and blurry, and if i had more time i would have re-done the whole editing and put the...

secondary research stats - pie charts demographics - interpret ad storyboard - shot data - relatable - repeatable question and answers - several observers data - validity - believable Secondary research  Looking at Dr marten Airwairs reviews it shows the majority of the people who have brought them quite enjoy the colours and how comfortable they are  screen shot from the website showing the ratings of the different categories and the overall which are pretty high ratings the lowest being 8.7. This is the evidence from the reviews on the 1460 W Boots  my secondary research has come straight from www.drmartens.com/uk/en_gb/p/11822600 with the written reviews from actual costumers who are some what satisfied with the product that the brought and how comfortable they are and how stylish they are. I found someone on youtube reviewing a pair of 1460 W Boots and even though at the start she says they didnt fit her and that wearing them made h...

data research

i created a survey to give me an idea on what people like and what they don't like, i started of with the simple question for example what gender you are and what is there age, then i went on about shoes, what size shoe they are and what shoe company they prefer more, the majority picked converse as the shoe they liked more and they all agreed that the shoe crocs is what they disliked most. if i did a hate video on the shoe brands crocs would be the number one id be talking about but my advert isn't about that and with this research i have come up with a good variety on what people like and what they don't.
